Kajang, Selangor.
Designers and engineers
in the same room.

A creative partner. Not a vendor.

How a project actually runs, what we need from you and when, what things cost, and the work we will turn down.

How a project runs

No surprises, in either direction.

The same five steps whether it is a logo or a six-month software build. Only the length of each one changes.

01

Understand the problem

Before anything is drawn or written, we work out what is actually broken. Sometimes the answer is that you do not need us, and we will say so. It costs us one conversation and saves you a project.

02

Agree the scope and the number

A written scope with a fixed price. For software, a short paid discovery that produces one. You keep the scope document whether or not you go ahead with us.

03

Direction before detail

You approve a direction before we build anything on top of it. No surprises at the end, and no "this is not what we discussed" conversation six weeks in.

04

Build, review, refine

Fixed review rounds written into the scope so both sides know when it is finished. Design and engineering sit together, so what gets built is what was approved.

05

Hand it over properly

Source files, repository, accounts and documentation. You own what we build, and you can hire somebody else to maintain it. That is the test of an honest handover.

What we need from you

One person who can make a decision, your existing material in whatever state it is in, and a realistic deadline. The projects that go badly are almost never the ones with a hard brief. They are the ones where approval has to travel through five people who were not in the first meeting.

What things cost

Two fixed products, and everything else scoped.

Published prices, so you can rule us in or out before spending a call on it. The entry products are finite things with a boundary, not a starting point we intend to talk you up from.

Reports, systems & mechanisms

Scoped per project

Quoted after a short callScoped

A different kind of purchase, not a bigger version of the two on the left. Priced on what it actually involves.

  • Reports: scoped to page count, languages and print specification
  • Business systems: a paid discovery first, then a phased build
  • Mechanisms: quotation tools, pre-sale pages, portals
  • Retainers: ongoing design and content, monthly

Where we will point you elsewhere

If a report brief comes in well under RM10,000 we will usually tell you Brand + Digital is the better fit and say why. A report scoped below what it needs is a bad report with your name on it, which does neither of us any good.

Being straight about it

What we will say no to.

An agency that claims to do everything is telling you something about how carefully it works.

Design we cannot build

We do not hand artwork to a third party and hope. If we cannot build it ourselves, we will tell you who should.

A deadline that cannot be met

We would rather lose the project than take a reporting deadline we know we will miss. You have one filing date a year.

Claims we cannot stand behind

In regulated sectors we will not write what we cannot source. If the claim will not survive a fact-check, it does not go out.

Questions worth asking first

The things people ask before they commit.

How quickly can you start?

Brand Starter and Brand + Digital usually start within a week. Reports and software depend on what else is in the studio. We will tell you the real date, not the one you want to hear.

Do we own the files?

Yes, all of them. Source artwork, the code repository, the hosting and domain accounts. You can hand the whole thing to another studio and we will help with the transfer.

How many rounds of changes?

Written into the scope before we start, so neither side is guessing. Brand Starter is one round; larger projects have review points built into each phase.

Can you work with our existing site or system?

Usually, yes. We will look at what you have before proposing to replace it. Rebuilding something that works is an easy way to spend your money badly.

Who actually does the work?

We do. Design and engineering are in the same room in Kajang. You can come and sit with us, which for a six-month build matters more than a slide deck.

What if we are not sure what we need?

That is a normal place to start. Describe the problem in your own words and we will tell you what we think it is, including when the honest answer is that you do not need us yet.

Come and tell us what is not working.

One short form. We read every one, and we reply within one working day with a price, a question, or an honest no.
